The Different Needz Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded its 2014 grants. Forty-five (45) grants totaling Thirty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Dollars ($35,660.00) were awarded to individuals with developmental disabilities and organizations that support them. Successful applicants received their specific request of an item or service, such as: speech therapy, communication devices, summer camp tuition, physical therapy, medical equipment, a bathing chair, adaptive stroller, therapeutic riding and adaptive swings. These items are not fully covered by health insurance and are essential to elevating the quality of life for these individuals.

In its first five years, the Foundation has awarded over One Hundred Eighteen Thousand Dollars ($118,000.00) to 167 individuals and organizations. Located in Northeast Ohio, the Foundation has expanded its reach and has helped individuals and organizations in nineteen states. Michelle Petrillo-Carr, President of the Different Needz Foundation said, “We are happy to have experienced so much growth over the last five years. The Foundation is working hard to continue its growth and to expand its reach so it can help more individuals and organizations nationwide.”
