The Different Needz Foundation Awards Twenty-Six Grants

January 23rd, 2012

The Different Needz Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded twenty-six (26) monetary grants. Grants were awarded to successful applicants for special needs medical equipment and therapy services. The Foundation specifically approved grants for physical therapy services, medical equipment, a toilet chair, a wheelchair, a wheelchair lift, and a tandem bike which will be featured by Team Myles in the 2011 Cleveland Triathlon. Grant recipients were mostly from northeast Ohio, but also were from other Ohio areas and Indiana.

“We are pleased that we were able to double the total monetary ward from our first year. There are so many special needs individuals who are in great need of expensive equipment and medical services. Awarding the grants always energizes the Foundation. We are excited about this year’s fund raising season.” said David Anthony, Chairman of the Board for the Different Needz Foundation. Although a young organization, the Different Needz Foundation has granted over $30,000.00 to fifty special needs families or organizations in its first two years.

The Different Needz Foundation is a 501(C)(3) charitable organization. The Foundation’s primary mission is to provide special needs individuals, families and organizations that support them with money to purchase medical equipment, therapy devices, adaptive toys and/or services.
The Different Needz Foundation is holding the Third Annual Luke Jordan Memorial Golf Outing and Reception/Silent Auction on September 9, 2011 at Acacia Country Club.
